Working closely in urban music and spinning for nearly half of his life, it is the art of making people sweat on the dance floor that steered Houston’s DJ Sincere to the groove of House music. Sincere says, “House in the only thing that keeps me going because it has such a spiritual, uplifting vibe.” Sincere now channels soulful influences from his early house idols, Steve “Silk Hurley”, Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work and David Morales to create new, house classics which he, and partner Rocky B, plan to release later this year on their own label, Anointed Soul Recordings, as well as a new label venture, SoL FreeKs Recordings, with long-time friend and Chicago native DJ G Spot. Look for future releases from Sincere and Rocky under the moniker of Rocco & Hudson. Sincere’s unique chemistry behind the decks fluctuates between deep, soulful house to more bumpin, funky music. Sincere’s pulsating DJ style has moved dance floors throughout the U.S., including the 2002 Winter Music Conference at Crystal in Miami. Aside from working future releases, Sincere remains equally busy as the resident DJ for Oakley, Inc., various events with Red Bull Energy Drink, weekly mixshows on XM Satellite Radio and KPFT (Houston), and various remix projects including Koch recording artist Chico De Barge and more.
